NAMI Walk

DSCF2350DSCF2353DSCF2355

I participated the NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) charity walk in Golden Gate Park on May 22nd.
It was a beautiful day and there were many people to support the organization. We had special surprise guest, San Francisco Mayer Gavin Newsom. He came to the gathering with his daughter to support the good cause of NAMI.  As he stated, it is very important to educate our public about mental illness and support people who are affected by the illness directly and indirectly as patients, their family and loved one.
Thank you for my friends who generously donated the money to NAMI.
I appreciate your support!

EMDR workshop experience with Ana Gomez, MC, LPC

DSCF1238
I had heard many good things about Ana Gomez, how great she is with children.
Unfortunately, I did not see her at last EMDR conference in year 2009 and am looking forward to taking her workshop in a different setting.

I got the chance to take her two days workshop in April in bay area " Complex PTSD, Attachment and Dissociative Symptoms: Treating Children with Pervasive Emotion Dysregulation Using EMDR and Adjunctive Approaches". It was wonderful. She used many visual aids with rich case studies. I am a strong visual learner and very impressed by her creativity and enthusiasm to help children.

This is her advanced training compare to "Step by step" workshop. I have not taken the "Step..." workshop but am very interested to take that workshop also.
I highly advice to take her workshop if you have a chance...

The 20th EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) conference was held in Atlanta, Georgia, at the end of August. It was very exiting gathering all around the world.
Dr.Francine Shapiro and I in the picture. Dr.Shapiro developed EMDR when she was working in Stanford research center in Palo Alto. Now, EMDR is used world wide for treating trauma.
